Some people get a lot of spam others get just a few. But no matter how much spam we get were all affected by the flood of spam that travels the internet every day. Spam has been estimated to account for somewhere between 40 and 60 percent of all emails sent every day, and costing non-corporate internet users around $250 million dollars in 2006, corporate cost was estimated to 8.9 billion dollars in 2002. All signs point toward increasing rather than decreasing costs now and in the future.
