Freeware email spam filter thats pretty much best in bussiness as far as I’ve seen. Be sure to install the baysian plug in, needs some training but improves performance.

Akismet
Blog comment spam filter. Installed by default with your WordPress installation. Holds all comments considered spam on a special list. Making it much easier for you to scan the remaining comments for moderation.
